Animated Stills

Animated stills are a type of visual content that combines the best of both worlds: the engaging movement of animation and the simplicity of a still image. We produce two different types. The Slow motion photo- a completely reconstructed image that will move like a super slow motion video. The second is called a cinemagraphs, which is essentially a still photograph with a subtle, looping animation added to a particular part of the image. These are great for films, video that have reduced access for filming, social media posts and website headers.

How do animated photos work?

We use Adobe Premier, Photoshop and After Effects to create our realistic animated photos. We cut out all the elements, rebuild the missing elements and create layers that make the picture look 3D. Then we have movement to individual elements, weather like sun or wind or rain and slow camera movements.

When combined these effects make the photo appear as though it is in fact video.
